The permalinks just would not work until I found <a href=\"http:\/\/lawsonry.com\/2013\/11\/nginx-settings-wordpress-subdirectory-permalink-fix\/\">this solution<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>I only had to adapt it slightly for my situation:<\/p>\n<p><code> location \/blog\/ {<br \/>\n    try_files $uri $uri\/ \/blog\/index.php?$args;<br \/>\n  }<\/code><\/p>\n<p>I had tried several other solutions but they had results such as losing the css.
